BurnleyFM17 Career Mode/Season2- WE GO AGAIN

Hello everybody and welcome back to the first installment of the second season in the Premier League with Burnley. So you are probably wondering what I actually do in my life, well nothing but the other day I went outside so I went on a little adventure. Chilled out with the one friend (yes I only have one)  went to Chicken Palace which is basically a Dixy with more class. Anyway I then decided that the one thing that makes me happy, is talking to you lot, so we are back with the Burnley FM17 career mode. Brace yourselves
Last season was fantastic for the Clarets, as the boys and I won the the Premier League title COME ON!!. We now know that the big challenge is ahead, as we look to retain our Premier League crown and have a crack at the Champions League.

The transfer window presents an opportunity for us to add to our squad and with that in mind I have made these signings.

Bamford (£15M)
Lualua (£1.4M)
Bogdan (FREE)
Clark (£5M)
Januzaj (£2.9M)

Game 1 - Stoke(Community Shield)
The annual curtain raiser to the start of the season and the might Clarets are in it, so technically we did get to Wembley in the end (I am counting it). This game today we face FA Cup winners Stoke in a battle to win the Community Shield. We have retained the spine of the team which won us the league plus we made additions as well.
We have won a shield we can go forth with in battle! Great win for the boys in the annual curtain raiser for the season, Andre Gray picking up where he left off. Should I let him back on Twitter?

Game 2- Arsenal (H)
Our title defense kicks off with a home game against the runners up from last year Arsenal. Yep this game loves me so much that after all the effort I put in, we still get screwed over. Anyway we are keeping the same tactics from last year but we need to bed the new additions in. COME ON LADS!
To quote a wise man "Yabba-dabba-doo". What a result to start the season with, we were just clinical as always as Arsenal couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Bamford and Gray picking up where they left off and getting their first goals of the season. Nice to see Hendrick get his first goal for the club as well. UP THE CLARETS!

Game 3- West Brom (A)
Up next is an away trip to the Hawthorns, as the mighty Clarets look to make it two wins out of two in the league. We all know what a Tony Pulis side is typically capable of, frustrating and annoying every team in the country but we have hope lads. The lineup for today is: Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Clark, Buttner, Gudmondsson, Hendrick, Defour, Januzaj, Bamford, Gray.
Two wins out of two, we are winning the league again boys, this year is our year! We were all over West Brom today and Gudmondssons goal boy what a hit son, what a hit. Bamford has two in two now as well. COME ON LADS!

Game 4- West Ham (H)
3 out of 3 in the league? Yeah why not, not like West Ham are gonna offer us any sort of threat of all lets be real here. The gaffer is making some changes as Arfield and Mee come into the side as we attempt to make it 3 out of 3 in the league.

Sat here now with a Louis Van Gaal special Red Wine and a mince pie! Andre Gray bagging a hat trick as we have just destroyed the mighty hammers and we have a 100% record in the league so far.

Game 5- Southampton (A)
The last game for today and we travel to St.Mary's as we could end August on top of the league with 12 points in the bag. Tactics Timothy is making a couple of changes as Tarkowski gets his first start of the season and Defour is back in for Carroll.

A draw, I will take it. Southampton had more of the ball in the game but happy with the teams resilience in hanging on. We end August top of the league already get in!

In the Champions League we got given a fairly easy group in Porto, Basel and FC Copenhagen.

That's it for today, remember to check out my work for TheHigherTempoPress and I will hopefully be releasing some more articles on other subjects soon.

Stay Classy!

Burnley FM17 Career mode Part 8- We can be Heroes

Hello everybody and welcome back to my FM17 career mode with Burnley, where we could be on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on the moment of truth (wait sorry I just released my inner Gaga). Back to normality and we could be making history as we could be on the verge of winning the Premier League. Our boys in claret have been magnificent all season and although we are out of the cup we can really end the season in style as I bring you the finale of this hectic, crazy and potentially history making season.
Game 1- Man City (A)
The run of tough games continues as we face another title contender Manchester City. The first game we played against them we beat them 3-1 and I am quite confident that with our recent 17 game streak, we can get another 3 points here.

To quote Michael Cole "The Streak...is over" Erm so yeah City got their revenge and they deserved it to be fair. I thought that we could have troubled them more but unfortunately my big mouth before hand sealed our fate. Our lead is now cut down to a point and there is now 3 points between the top 5. Yep this is going to be fun

Game 2- Chelsea (A)
This game loves me doesn't it? So after they give me City they decide to give me Chelsea. I want a response from the lads after the defeat against City. Sam Vokes makes his first start since his injury lay-off and also the fact that Bamford can not play against Chelsea.

Sam Vokes always had faith in you son, shame you will probably get dropped for Bamford next game, sorry kid . Another huge win which puts us 4 points clear again as our fixture list is looking slightly better after the conspiracy of those 3 tough games in a row. Believe boys!!!!

Game 3 - West Brom (A)
Our schedule gets slightly easier with an away trip to the Hawthorns after playing those 3 teams before hand (again thanks FM). Bamford is injured so I play a 4-5-1 formation with Gray as the lone man.. UP THE CLARETS!!

It's going to be one of those days isn't it? Fair to say the 4-4-2 is coming back, Besty had a tactical blunder as the 4-5-1 didn't work. There are 6 games left and there are 3 points between the top 5, love these tense moments.

Game 4- Crystal Palace (H)
Back in front of the Turf and we come against 17th place Crystal Palace and we are back to the 4-4-2. Barnes starts up front with Gray as Bamford has not quite recovered, Boyd and Tarkowski come in. COME ON BOYS!!

YES GET IN! Tarkowski with the winner and his first of the season and that puts us back on top of the Premier League. On average we have got 2 points per game which is magnificent for the boys in Claret.

Game 5- Middlesbrough
This time last season we faced Middlesbrough on the way to lifting the Championship, now we face them on the road to the Premier League title. What a difference a year makes. The boy Bamford is back and that is the only change as we head into the last lot of fixtures.

Another big win for us. Where would we be without Gray and Bamford, for me those two been have been a cut above the rest this season. We are starting to put some points between us and 3rd as we now have the final 4 games of the season coming up.

Game 6- Bournemouth
Up next on the road to the title we have Bournemouth who we know can cause any team a problem on their day. We name an unchanged lineup as we look to pick up another 3 points towards immortality. BIG NEWS. Chelsea have beaten  Arsenal in the game they play before us, so we win here and we go 5 clear with 3 games to go.

One hand on the trophy. 5 points clear 3 games to go, this is unbelievable, if we go o to win the league this will be one of the best things I have done on fm. We do have some bad news form this game, Gray is out for 3 weeks so Barnes and Bamford will be the front two.

Game 7- Hull (A)
We can secure Champions League football for the clarets but for right now that is a formality, we know we have the title in our grasp, so all we need to do is get the job done. The players have hit their stride and we will look for all 3 points at Hull. COME ON LADS!

We threw away a 2 goal lead in the first half, unacceptable from the boys on that front and Hull had a goal ruled out for offside. This is going down to the wire and up next we have 3rd place Manchester United at home....great.

Game 8- Manchester United
Nervous is the word, yeah lets go with nervous. This is make or break, we win then the League is ours. Luckily for us both Arsenal and United dropped points so we can bring the title to the turf in this game. We lose well, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

I hate this game, I really do but it's games like this that make me go insane. It looks like it's going down to the final game. It's between me and United now for the league and potentially Spurs but barring a collapse from me and United.

The final game - Sunderland (A)
It's took us two seasons to get here (not to Sunderland) and this is it simply put we must win, I can not afford to draw, if I do then United will win it. The side is unchanged and guys here we go......COME ON YOU CLARETS!!!

We drew...........but so did United. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND!!!! CHAMPIONES CHAMPIONES OLE OLE OLE. Drinks on Besty, Coca-Cola though I have no ID. WHAT A SEASON.

The season is over but our journey is only beginning as we have Champions League football next season so stay tuned. Thank you so much everyone for reading blog and check out TheHigherTempoPress for my journey with Peterborough United as well.

Thanks and UP THE CLARETS!!!!

Burnley FM17 Career mode part 7- Messi is a poor mans Gudmondsson

Hello everybody and welcome back to my FM17 career mode with Burnley. I hope you all had a fantastic new year, I did I sat there with a Cornetto watching Holes and had the time of my life. Whilst you all reflect on last night and nurse your hangovers there is one thing that will keep you entertained, me. New Year same old Besty as I am giving you the next chapter of my journey with the Clarets.

When we last left you in 2016, we somehow managed to keep Keano at the football club and our Road to Wembley has begun brilliantly with pit stops at Chesterfield and Wigan along the way. There is also this small matter of us at the top of the league but that's not important.

News of my blog have spread and I have been asked to write for a website called TheHIgherTempoPress. They have a great following and are willing to take me on but there is a catch I can't be with Burnley, so it requires me to make a new save but I am considering it and just do the Burnley one on here instead. Anyway shall we dive into today's fixtures......

UP THE CLARETS!!!

Game 1- Everton (A)
We start with a trip to Merseyside to face an Everton side who have been largely disappointing this season and sit in 14th place. Everton still possess a very strong squad and will look to utilize such players as Lukaku, Barkley and Deolofeu. We are at full strength today and Steven Defour is on the bench as I gradually get him back to full fitness.

Bamford and Gray- The new SAS? That is a big win for us and our season, coming to a place like Everton and picking up all 3 points, brilliant win for the boys. We have now gone 3 points clear of 4th and that goal difference is looking favourable as well. UP THE CLARETS.

Game 2- Swansea (A)
Up next we face Swansea who in real life are in the dogs and it looks like they are on this game as well (and people say FM isn't real life) and to make things even more realistic Bob Bradley has been sacked on my game as well, I think I might be next..... Anyway today sees the return of Steven Defour to my squad as I now face a dilemma in that centre of midfield area.

Just what the doctor ordered, I will tell you the truth right, I went and made myself a sandwich and it ended up being 3-0 (the sandwich was good). Managed to see Gudmondssons goal and boy it was a goal of the season contender, cutting in from the right like Messi in his prime and smashes it into the top left. Gudmondsson is better than Messi.

Game 3- Watford (H)
Our first home game of 2017, this is big lads and we face a Watford team who to be fair are doing pretty well and for some reason are receiving more plaudits than my team (suppose they expect us to win the league with Michael Kightly). We are still top but our main target can be achieved if we win today, yes Burnley can achieve survival if we win here and with 12 games to go as well.

ANDRE ANDRE ANDRE ANDRE ANDRE. What a big home win that is which sends us back to the top of the Premier League and guarantees the Clarets survival in the Premier League which I am immensely proud of and lets face it we could win the league. Andre Gray is now on 20 for the season as the Burnley train is coming.

Game 4- Huddersfield (A)
The Road to Wembley is in full focus as we make another pit stop at the John Smiths stadium and face Huddersfield. I want to make sure we continue this fine form and with games being reasonably kind to us we name an unchanged side as we look to take the Clarets to Wembley.

We were knocked out by two own goals and a red card and the Burnley bus to Wembley has got a puncture and will not be carrying on with our journey in the FA Cup. We only have the league now to focus on, so we are going to for it. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER (High School Musical)

Game 5- Leicester City (H)
Up next we face reigning Champions Leicester City and our home form has been magnificent (cue you internet marks who correct me) and we are looking to kick on in the league and give our fans some success. Defour is out of the squad because of him getting suspended so Tom Carroll comes in.

Oh Fuchs, we couldn't hang on as Ahmed Musa pounces late on and gives the foxes a point. Annoyed with that since we took the lead in the 82nd minute with that man Gray on the scoresheet yet again.

Game 6- Arsenal (A)
Bricking it, I am absolutely bricking it. we face fellow title contenders Arsenal who are 2nd at the minute but if they win they go top, I will be happy with a point but if we get all 3 then mate we are laughing. I just had a look as well and in the premier league we are unbeaten in 16 games, can we make it 17?

YES GET IN!!! OH MY GOD. 4 points clear with 9 games to go, this is possibly the greatest thing I have ever done on FM. Bamford and Gray deserve England call ups.

That's it for today. I would like to inform you that I will be starting a separate blog for TheHigherTempoPress and it will be taking Peterborough United hopefully to the Prem. This blog is still staying on and I will also be writing for the other guys as well. The success of this blog has led to this opportunity so I want to thank everyone for reading it and have fun reading in the future.
