Also the FA Cup journey will begin unless we get Burton then we are buggered.
So last time out we had an absolute blinder (not a peaky blinder) we may have lost a couple of games but we managed to extend our lead at the top from 1 point to 4 points and more importantly we beat Blackburn (no they never). Today we have a big game coming up, second place Brighton are on our tail and we have them at home next. We win we go 7 points clear, we lose well.... we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Game 1- Brighton (H)
Big game, big big game. I feel like playing the Pirates of the Carribean theme tune as we step in to battle. I need my best players for the big occasion and with that in mind Hennings and Boyd come back into the side and hopefully Kightly can have another worldie of a game. Oh bollocks Tom Heaton is out for 10 days with a virus, don't know what he contracted.

Alright Brighton mate, mind the gap boys wahey. Great performance, I wanted my big players to turn up and they well and truly did. Hennings with a brace and Andre Gray popping up with one, both of them have been on fire this season. Up next we face Cardiff away.
Game 2- Cardiff (A)
We travel across the border to face a Cardiff side who occupy that last playoff place. Earlier in the season Cardiff were top but have slipped and we have pounced like a Lion on a Gazelle . I have a few changes to the side which beat Brighton, Heaton has recovered from swine flu, Arfield is in for Boyd, Ilori comes in for Tarkowski, Carroll in for Jones.
Federico Macheda, I thought he was dead but he resurrected like Jesus to rob me of 3 points. Strikers went missing today and that leaves us 3 ahead of Birmingham in 2nd but 8 in front of the chasing pack from 3rd downwards.
Game 3- Preston (H)
Another derby and this time it's Preston. I am expecting 3 points here to keep the distance between us and Birmingham. Big spud David Jones comes in for Tom Carroll and since Lowton has been trying to get his "posse" on me and cause havoc, he starts ahead of Darikwa.

So Lowton get MOTM, ok well erm ok. Other than that great win for clarets and we deserved it. Great to see Will Keane bag a goal and of course that man Hennings scores again. Up next is QPR away as we head into the Christmas fixtures.
Game 4- QPR (A)
Up next is QPR and after the win against Preston the players are in high spirits and we look to continue that form in London against QPR.
Goals are coming, in every game, we are playing, having fun. In this season, we are top of the standings, MERRY XMAS EVERYONE. Santa has brought me 3 points for xmas and with that it has made us go 9 points clear ahead of all teams Leeds. Hennings is just a bit good.
Game 5- Middlesbrough (A)
Second away game in a row and we travel to the Riverside to face an underwhelming Middlesbrough side in terms of League position. The side is unchanged from the weekend but Gray hasn't been scoring as of late, so I will be changing him at half time. Lowton keeps his place in the side because of the recent good form (not because he has my family hostage shhhh).
13 shots and 10 on target and it finished 1-1. This is definitely 2 points dropped and that man Hennings has been a great player for us this season. Even though we drew we are 8 points clear and that goal difference is something else.
Game 6- Charlton (H)
This should be a walk in the park, top vs bottom and Charlton better prepare themselves for abuse as I am sending my boys out with one simple message DESTROY!!!. I will make 4 changes to the side as Darikwa, Carroll, Arfield and Will Keane come in for Lowton, Jones, Boyd and Twitter king Andre Gray. Actually second thought Gray gets one last chance, I don't want any tweets in my direction.
Erm we gave Charlton a chance, it is the christmas period after all. All jokes aside I felt that we could have properly done em but it's another win which keeps the club top at Christmas. Decided to let the boys have a night out on the town to celebrate our success.
Game 7- Hull (A)
After the "destruction of Charlton" we have the annual boxing day fixture in the footballing calender. We come up against Hull City away from home and I make one change as George Boyd is back in for Arfield.

Hennings is better than Gray. I mean sweet jesus 17 goals in the league already and he netted a perfect hat-trick today. 1-0 down at half time and Hennings decided "right better put on my boots" and boy did he. Still 8 points clear.
Game 8- Bristol City (H)
Bristol City at home and this sparks the second game in two calendar days. Last time time we played Bristol City, we played them to a 0-0 draw but this time round I hoping for a different result. Since this fixture has come quick round the corner, I have decided to make 9 changes to the side. Lineup: Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Ilori, Ward, Arfield, Marney, Jones,Taylor, Vokes, Keane

Well played Bristol City, you have proven to be quite the match, so well played. Not bitter at all that we threw away a 2 goal lead and we were denied a clear penalty. Not bitter at all.....gits.
Game 9- Ipswich (H)
This game gives us the chance to get some measurable revenge on the Tractor boys after they beat us 2-0 earlier on in the season. All the changes what I made for the last game are reversed as players are now fit and ready for the task in hand. GWARN BOYS!!!
Oh and Lowton starts because of Darikwa's injury....
Ipswich town are the bane of my existence. We should have won the game there are no excuses but we are 7 points clear at the top so still all to play for.
Game 10- West Ham (H) FA CUP
The cup journey begins again and good news is we don't have to face Burton, the bad news is we have to face West Ham. This is a game we could win but we know it will be tough but I really want a cup run.

Goodbye FA CUP it was nice knowing you mate. I mean I can't describe what happened, 0-0 at half time and then 3-0 defeat come the end of it. We only have the league to focus on now and Andre Gray is dropped for a few games.
That's it for today, it will be the normal amount of games covered tomorrow but on Christmas day there will be no updates for obvious reasons. Thank you everyone for reading it and staying up to date with my FM journey to the Prem.
UP THE CLARETS!!!
